Frequently asked questions

Answers about choosing, buying and running an ASIC miner.

Buying miners

What is an ASIC miner?

An ASIC miner is a machine built to mine one specific algorithm, such as SHA-256 for Bitcoin or Scrypt for Dogecoin and Litecoin, far more efficiently than a computer or graphics card.

Which miner should I buy?

Start with the coin you want to mine and your electricity price. Use the profitability calculator on each miner to compare income and power cost, then pick the one with the best net result for your budget.

Which payment methods do you accept?

[List your payment methods, for example bank transfer or crypto.]

How long does delivery take?

In-stock miners ship once payment clears. Miners marked with a batch month ship with that factory batch under our batch shipping system. [Add the countries you ship to.]

Running a miner

How loud is an ASIC miner?

Full-size air-cooled ASIC miners typically run at around 70–80 dB, similar to a vacuum cleaner, around the clock. Hydro-cooled miners are much quieter at the machine but need a cooling loop with its own pumps and radiators.

Hydro vs air cooled miner: which is better?

Hydro-cooled miners are more efficient and quieter, but need a water-cooling system and are best run in a hosting center. Air-cooled miners are simpler to install anywhere with strong ventilation, but they are louder and less efficient.

Is Bitcoin mining profitable in 2026?

It can be, if your electricity is cheap enough and your miner is efficient. Use our Bitcoin mining calculator with your own power price; profits change daily with Bitcoin’s price and network difficulty.

How much does it cost to run a Bitcoin miner?

Power in kW × 24 hours × your price per kWh. A 5.7 kW miner costs about $8.20 a day at $0.06 per kWh and about $20.40 a day at $0.15 per kWh.

Can I run a miner at home?

Small home miners are fine on a desk. Full-size ASICs are loud, produce a lot of heat and can draw 3–6 kW, so check your power circuit, cooling and noise limits first.

What is miner hosting?

Hosting means your miner runs in a professional data center that provides power, cooling and internet, usually at a lower electricity price than at home. You can ship your miner from us straight to your host.

How is profit calculated?

Profit is income from mining minus electricity. Income changes daily with coin price and network difficulty, so estimates are never guaranteed.

Warranty and support

What warranty do miners have?

Every miner comes with our 6-year MinerNexus warranty. See the warranty policy for what is covered and how to make a claim.

Can I return a miner?
